Phantasmagoria: Fantasy TalesLate in 2021, I interviewed Stephen Jones and David A. Sutton about their long running weird fiction digest Fantasy Tales for The Digest Enthusiast No. 15 (January 2022). One of the questions was about whether or not they would consider a revival of the title. Here is their response:

Stephen Jones: Funny you should say that. We are currently in the early stages of planning a one-off 45th anniversary tribute to Fantasy Tales with a small UK publisher, which is due to appear towards the end of 2022. I might even try to dig out that original acetate logo from up in the attic.

David A. Sutton: If the anniversary tribute goes ahead, I’d certainly like to see that old logo again . . .

Phantasmagoria: Fantasy TalesThe project went forward with TK Pulp and is now available from amazon for $17, a bargain for a 364-page tradepaperback. Phantasmagoria’s Special Edition No. 7: The 45th anniversary tribute to Fantasy Tales is a terrific opportunity to (re-)discover an award-winning digest in a massive collection by an impressive list of today’s giants in the field of weird fiction—not to mention a similar roster of fine illustrators. Don’t miss it!
